Lake County Prepares for Ebola

The Lake County Health Department maintains that the risk to Lake County residents for Ebola is extremely low because there are no known cases in Illinois. Local health officials are coordinating with hospitals and other partners, from the coroner to emergency management to police and fire, to assure they are practicing the CDC guidelines, including looking for signs, asking appropriate questions, and responding if necessary.
